Going up to Hailyberry this weekend and am hoping to get some ice fishing in. Will report when I get back. Any tips from anyone who has been up there recently would be appreciated. Thanks

hey wetboots a good friend of mine lives on lake timiskaming at the south end in thorne right above the dam. not sure if it is because he is so close to the dam but the lake never freezes in front of his place however this year he said there is ice forming along the edges because it has been so cold up there. I will have to check out a map to see where haileyberry is. let me know how you do up there, good luck.

Just a short report. There were only a few huts out close to shore off of Halleybury. I didn't end up fishing there. I got invited out for brook trout on some small backwoods lakes with a local buddy. Saturday was a great day to be in the middle of the bush catching specs. I caught 4 between 9 & 12 inches. They were all beautiful fish from crystal clear water. We had them for dinner fried in butter and stuffed with garlic and lemon slices. I have pictures on my e mail but don't have a clue how to attach them. Will Try. Thanks Justin, and Jonathan for cooking.
