I have been told that a lot of people are using the graph out of their boat for ice fishing. Does anyone have pictures or information they can share on a DIY carrying case with battery and mount setup for an elite 5?

I use a small lunch cooler for mine.

I took my HDS5 from my boat and put it in a Home Depot toolbox. $10 and it has my battery from the lawn tractor in it as well.

Easy to assemble.

I used an old lunch bag. I bent a piece of aluminum into a square and attached 2 pieces of plexiglass to it. One at the bottom for the base so that it doesn't cave in from the weight and one at the top to attach my ff. 2 pieces of hard plastic from vacuum attachment for rod holders.

Guys
Thank you for the pictures and information you have shared on your sonar diy carrying cases. They all look compact and efficient. Have to put the old brain in gear with these ideas.
Thanks again

I used Li battery (7 Ah) for light weight. A spring mechanism holds the sensor at 90 degree.

Nice looking setup John. You've done a nice job, and it looks as if you have it insulated as well. Thanks for sharing
