I like practical. I miss the full windshield in the spring... but it's for fishing. Mostly Ottawa river and Nippissing... i've been trying to find them in Lake Ontario. The young lad and I will.... eventually.

Hi. I had a Legend angler 151 which is 15 foot. It came with a 25 hp motor. Do yourself a favour and stay away from them My new boat is a tracker 16 foot with a 90hp. It is very peppy and smooth running Even in rough water. What ever boat you choose. Make sure You get a deep hull if your using it on bit water Like lake simcoe Also don't get the minimum motor that legend offers. They are way too slow and under powered. A 16 foot boat should have a 40hp minimum
Others may disagree with me, but I'm talking on experience Good luck And happy fishing.

Nothing wrong with Legend! I LOVE mine! Cheers!
We love our Legend as well but do recommend upgrading the motor. We have the 17.5 full windshield with a 90hp 4-stroke and find it is perfect power. We are not doing tournaments where we need the extra speed but can do 35-40 mph which is fast enough for us.

Wecome aboard wildchild11, where abouts do you fish on the Ottawa river? My buddy retired in Thorne, across the river is Temiskaming Que. a couple of years ago. He is just north of the dam. We have been fishing around that area for the past couple of years, good variety of fish in the Ottawa river, and have checked out a couple of the small lakes around there as well. His mother in law lives down by Mattawa, we did a bit of fishing down around that area as well.

Its like the truck debate - ford, chevy, dodge , gmc etc....
50 percent of the people have never owed a truck or used a truck...but they have a comment on someone else's purchase. I find most people just talk non sense about boats and trucks and have no experience using them or what their craftsmanship is actually like. Most their talk is complete Bull.
Unless YOU have owned (not that...' my buddy b.s.') or worked with the companies boats then I don't think you should be bashing.

Mattawa is the place. We fish below La Cave Dam or downriver at "the slide" about Klocks road. Our best luck is below the dam. But the slide is "fish on" in the spring. They can't keep away from the white jig and a fresh minnow. I've heard good things about the fishing above the dam... but haven't had a chance to try it.... maybe this year.

I have a 75 4 stroke on my 16 exterminator. It'll do just over 40mph and can pull 2 adult skiers. and with my trolling plate.... I can entice those finicky pickeral. Gotta love it. No complaints with my Legend. I don't regret it for a second. The wife gets jealous about now when it comes out of storage. He He
