Hey Jerry
Sounds great. I look forward to getting the info and hopefully others will post some info. as well. Depending on what we get and decide, this could be a "Board Excursion". Ralph

Back in the early 60's my father and I would go up there on a Friday night in the Spring and Summer, sleep in the station wagon and fish the Gull River at the top end of the lake.
I remember catching some nice spec's, rainbow and bass.

My map and info says (if I recall correctly) -- the winter fishery is mainly lake trout and whitefish. Not sure about herring.. I will dig it all out and brief myself more..

Hey Fishsniffer, I think you have Gull Lake in Minden confused with another Gull Lake.. No rainbow stocking in the Minden one..
The Minden Gull Lake only has road side parking as far I can remember, then you walk out a short distance and you are in 80-125 fow. I just have to look up the road and bay where everyone fishes & accesses..
Yes, of course a non-formal Meet & Greet anywhere, with board members is always welcome. Last years ice party was tons of fun!!

Jerry ,
haha , My mistake ! Just read the headline now I was jsut excited when I saw Gull Lake in the headline
I am talking about the one of 169 & Bethune dr. Off the highway you can see the huts out there .
That Gull Lake they do stock Rainbow's in Gravenhurst....
Sdc ,
No problem, I will Pm you . A trip sounds goods to me if it is the Gull lake in Gravenhurst . I also herd they used to stock Wall-eye and Brook trout back in the 1950's . Not sure if that's true or not. Bow's are in there that's for sure ! Ice season is always good with nice thick ice condition's . Pm Sent . & for Italo Labignan, somthing smells fishy to me about him . As I herd and witness a few smelly stories about him .
Meet & Great on Simcoe our home lake would be nice . Maybe somewhere off Oro Side .....
Hopefully she freezes over past the 3 & 4 line this year , Finger's crossed

A few years ago we had a meet and greet on Gull lake. Fishing was slow but we all had a great time. It is a very short walk from the parking area. someone should think about a M&G on Simcoe before winter hits, Could hold the BBQ at Sibbalds. Just a thought.

I agree with Bob.
if we are talking about a M&G, then I would opt for a different location..Gull lake would not be on my list for that as fishing can be real slow there even on good days.
also 1 rod rule there I believe and quite a drrive for some of us southerners.
I was going to taoss my hat in the ring to help out with a M&G and I think Simcoe is still my 1st choice.
