Yeah, not much sleep the last couple of days. We headed out on our drive today at 11am and took just over 2 hrs to get here. It was probably the worst driving we have been in. It was a good thing it was a straight run on the 401. We kept at a steady pace and didn't go too fast. Some people are crazy passing and stuff but we made it. After we checked in, we found the closest restaurant/pub by us and had lunch. When we tried to leave, we couldn't get out of the parking lot. We had a couple of people from the bar give us a push out since the plows piled up a bunch of snow. We owe them some beers if we see them tomorrow. We are back in the hotel now until 6am tomorrow. Hopefully all the roads and parking lots are plowed by then.

Staying at Park Lane Motel which I think Sea Bass had said was okay. Got to the hotel and had to phone a local number to find out the key was in our room door. Room not too bad for $50/night and even has a plasma tv and electronic fireplace/heater. Bathroom could be a little better but acceptable. We decided with the winds and snow, we would pass on fishing today. Hopefully a big report with lots of pictures tomorrow.

Good Luck out there Nicole and I hope you get some Quinte Gold.
I'm glad you made it safe and sound.

I just finished shovelling close to 2 ft of snow here and it took me awhile to drive across the city.. A long while.. Lost count of how many cars were stuck in the snow or in the ditch.

This is going to be one great adventure for you.
Have fun!!
Cheers,
Jerry

We shoveled before leaving but will have a pile left for us when we get back. Will be an interesting walk out tomorrow morning. Hopefully the wind will blow a bunch of snow off the ice but not too much. I lost a cleat today while cleaning off the boat tent and haven't got a new set yet.
