Today I decided to head out on a Kingston area back lake for some trout fishing. Travel on the lake was very good, all the snow cover has pretty much blown off and no slush at all, the lake was solid with 12" of ice. It was very COLD today and I was fishing al fresco, holes kept icing up and any exposed skin froze quickly in the bitting wind. But, I toughed it out and was rewarded.. I went 2 for 4 on Lake Trout. All the action was in 105 fow jigging a williams spoon just off bottom. All in all a great outing, wish I could stay longer..
Cheers,
Jerry

Good job Jerry, nice looking Lakers and a nice size for eating. Maybe we can find some bigger ones on Simcoe some time soon. Craig and James need to pop their cherry and I still want that big one

Good going Jerry, I think I have fished there in the past. If it is the same lake it is a great spot.

The perch were from the day before on the BOQ. I decided to keep them on ice and clean all the fish at the same time.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.. I wish I could fish out there longer, but back to the city now and reality..

Hey Jerry ,

Perfect size Lakers. Looks like you had the entire lake to your self.

I wish Simcoe looked like that .....loll

Nice work !

Nadia caught her first walleye Monday evening . We decided to fish Wellers Bay !

She out fished me with the only Walleye. In total one Walleye and 15 jumbo Perch .

Makes for a perfect meal tonight

Had a great time out there . Should be heading back to Wellers soon . Great location and fishing !
