World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1961 Member No.: 952 Joined: December 10, 2011	Hey gang. I got a message from a friend that my local conservation area was closeing for ice fishing Sunday, for the year. Decided to give it a try. I did one derby there this year and got skunked! It was a beautiful day. Not many people out. Tried a few spots and couldn't find any aggressive fish. Finally decided to set up the hut in one spot that I was marking fish and put on the heater. Finally got a hit and it was a cat! The target species was crappie.. Finally managed to get 4 or 5 of them. It wasn't a fast n furious bite but a nice day on the ice just the same. Best part is....it's 15 min from my house! Cheers!
