As shown ,there are some nice pike in the bay ..But we've also done well on crappies in late aft towards dark, white maribou jig in the upper part of the water column..or small shiners on a slip float....

I was trying for crappies as well with a small, feather jig and minnow. We stayed until 6 but nothing was showing on the screen so called it a day. If the ice holds out, we'll try again after work for crappie. What depth of water were you fishing for them?

Thanks steelheader, I'll try that next time.
Quickme, you shouldn't have any problem with the slush unless it gets worse today. It wasn't really wet slush, more like walking thru ice pellets. Be aware there is open water on the east side of the bay so don't venture too far that way but as I said, we were on about 10 inches of ice. You will see the croud so just fish near them.

No, no cars out. The access from the beach launch was deteriorating on Wednesday so we accessed a different way which cars cannot get on. Maybe the nuke plant's warm water was getting in the bay? It was open water all along the east park to the channel.
