have been fishing pine river for 2 days now and only saw 3 fish hooked one but it got off.I am wondering if the run is over.I know water is colder than usuall at this time of year.Owner of property said he hasnt seen many fish.He just saw suckers and said trout usually 2 weeks after suckers.Not sure what to believe but if anyone knows anything i would appreciate some advice. thanks in advance

The Lake Ontario tribs have been fishing well for weeks. I tried to go this week one day, but couldn't find the time
Most of the rivers on Lake Ontario now have drop backs.
You might want to try the deeper holes on the Notty, the steelhead hold longer in those pools. Try in Wasaga beach in the oxbows.

Near the mouth of the Nottawasaga River, there is a section of river with many large bends, this area is called the Oxbows. Steelhead will hold in these deep pools. You can also catch the odd whitefish there
