Derby is just around the corner.I haven't been able to get up to the bay this year yet so was wondering what to load the tackle box up with this time around.Any fish being caught?and what's the bait being used lately?any help would be appreciated.

The fish are around some days better than others. Spoons are working!! most seem to be the blue or green on a silver spoon (silver fox) also Lymans are working in low light times. The other big producers are Flashers or Spin Doctors with Bait. run between 50-75 feet down. Know of about 25-30 fish taken on bait in the last week. Some nice size fish 13 - 20 lbs and 1 over 25 lbs. Good Luck Big Jim

Was up on Thursday last week but didn't hit any. Fellows say steels working in blue or green, same thing Lymans just before sunrise and sunset. Now to wait for the derby to start. Don't fish the week before derby - would hate to catch the big one a week early. Tight lines See you at the 'DERBY TENT'
