Georgian Bay steelhead rivers have been fishing poor this year. Some years the runs are good and some years the numbers are low, it's cyclic, that's steelhead fishing. You need to drive around and try other rivers. The beaver river usually has the best run in the area. Try thornbury and ask around, and find out if anyone has been catching. The Notty and it's tributaries are very difficult to fish and heavy pressure in the lower Notty near the dam can really reduce the run upstreams in the Pine and Boyne. They have a ladder on the Boyne, try contacting the Nottawasaga Steelheaders they may be doing a count this year.
