Hey Guys,
I just moved to Orchard Beach (about 10 houses south of the restaurant) and keep seeing fish jumping about 100 ft off my dock.
They are black, narrow and maybe a foot long.
Any idea what they are?
They look like suckers. lol

Fishing Rod!!! Welcome to the Board.
Wait until the Carp are spawning underneath your dock in
the Spring.
You will think World War III has started.

Really? Isn't it about 20 ft. deep there?
I moved from Scugog where it isn't 20 ft. anywhere. In Scugog the carp just shows it's back and these fish are coming right out of the water.
I guess I can stop throwing spinner baits at them .....

I witness them jumping in 20 fow in the Trent ....

including your self and if you have kids there usually a blast to hook into from the dock . Use carp bait . Hook , line and sinker .

Some people even bait them with corn from the docks or fish pellets ....

Hmmmm. Black and narrow. Depending on ambient lighting, I'm guessing pike.

Go catch one and let us know.

Thanks Bob!
Fishing for carp under my dock sounds like a drinking sport!
