Raised on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Beaverton, Tim Hales has many years of experience ice fishing on Lake Simcoe. As the owner/operator of Tim Hales Fish Huts, Tim is dedicated to providing a knowledgeable, personable, and safe ice fishing service.
Transportation
Regardless of the weather, you'll have peace of mind traveling in one of our heated Bombardier snow buses or enclosed transporter guided by a GPS navigation system.
Our Ice Huts
Once escorted to the grounds of your choice, whether it be Trout & Whitefish or Perch, your fish hut will be "ready to fish", with ice holes prepared, and the heat on.
Whether it be a day, night or a week long trip, you'll be comfortable in our modern, clean huts. Our huts are 8 x 8 feet in size and will accommodate up to 6 people during the day, and sleep 2 people over night. They are equipped with vinyl covered padded benches and back rests, a propane stove to heat the hut, as well as a propane lamp for night fishing opportunities. All of our huts also offer hole covers which allows you to change from large, rectangular holes to 7" round holes. This system gives you more usable floor space and is much safer for kids. For those that prefer the larger holes, it only takes a moment to change. Landing nets, tip-up stands, minnows and pails are supplied in all our huts. Rods, sticks, and tackle are not supplied. All our fishing grounds have outhouse facilities.

Bait & Tackle
Our tackle shop offers a warm waiting area with a display of some ice fishing memorabilia, and is stocked with a variety of merchandise for hard water fishing, including fishing sticks, spreaders, spoons, jigs, and much more. We also have a variety of rod and reel combos in stock.
Accommodations & Lodging
For your convenience, we now offer on shore accommodations.
